How are Thompson Products Made?
Every Thompson sink, vanity, range hood, tub and accessory begins as a piece of raw metal and is transformed by skilled artisans using techniques passed down for generations. Most of our products are then heated in a wood-fired forge and carefully hammered by hand until the desired shape is achieved. Select designs are pressed to achieve their specific form and consistency. From shaping through finishing, each sink is carefully crafted to bring out the beauty and character of the metal, resulting in a piece made to be as distinctive as the space it inhabits.

How Long Until I Receive My Order?
Stock orders are shipped within 48 hours of receiving your purchase order. If you need your sink tomorrow, we can usually accommodate your urgency depending on stock status. Please note that some of our new designs have longer lead times, and semi-custom, custom, and made-to-order products have lead times of 14-20 weeks.

Can I Get Two Identical Sinks/Products?
Because our sinks are handcrafted, no two pieces will be exactly identical. Subtle variations in texture and finish are a natural part of the handmade process and give each sink its individual character. However, when ordering two sinks for the same space, they will be similar enough to pair beautifully side by side.

What Materials are Used in Thompson Products?
Thompson products are handcrafted from premium-quality metals, including copper, brass, and stainless steel. Our copper is exceptionally pure and typically crafted in a substantial 14-gauge thickness, with 16-gauge copper used for select pieces depending on the product and application. Our stainless steel is marine-grade, selected for its exceptional strength, durability, and resistance to corrosion. Every material is thoughtfully selected to ensure lasting beauty, performance, and quality. Thompson products contain no lead or mercury.
