This new line of fireclay kitchen sinks—inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi—will make its debut at High Point Spring Market. Members of the press and design community are invited to interact with these stunning products in Thompson’s Booth (M20) at 313 Space during the show.

Kintsugi-Inspired Designs in Gold, Silver & Copper
A bold fusion of art and utility, The Kintsugi Collection is inspired by the ancient Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer mixed with powdered precious metals. Unlike pottery, our sinks are not broken and pieced back together—rather, artist Trevor Waring uses a rotary tool to create the unique and intricate patterns you see here.

Each fireclay apron-front sink in the collection features a unique Kintsugi-inspired design, with “strokes” and “scars” available in three expressive styles to match your design aesthetic. Designers can also choose from inlays of Gold (23-carat), Fine Silver (99.9% Silver), or Copper to create a striking centerpiece in their next kitchen project. As with all Thompson products, customization is available to ensure each sink is as personal as it is functional.

“I love how these hand-crafted designs mimic the veining of countertops, marble surfaces, and backsplashes,” said Thompson Creative Director Alejandra Ochoa de Thompson. “Designers can also create custom versions of each sink to match existing spaces or serve as the inspiration for an entire kitchen project. The options are almost endless.”
