Thompson, masters of crafting authentic, hand-hammered sinks, tubs and accessories for the kitchen and bath, launches its Oaxaca Collection, featuring its newest finish – Matte Black. The collection takes its inspiration from Oaxaca, Mexico – a region known for its excellence in black clay pottery.

Over the past year, Founder and Creative Director Alejandra Ochoa de Thompson has been working with Thompson’ expert coppersmiths in Santa Clara del Cobre, Mexico to create a signature matte black finish. Their goal? Ensure that new Matte Black celebrates copper and its texture, while feeling at home with the company’s already-distinct finishes.

After much thought and with great skill, today Thompson coppersmiths are able to create the new matte black finish that consumers will crave. And, the company is pleased to present its collection for the first time at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (Show) in Las Vegas.
